John Fehr was born in Steinbach and has lived in the area most of his life. He has been married to Mathilda (nee, Neufeld) since October of 1972. John and Mathilda have two grown daughters of whom they are very proud. They both live in Steinbach. Wendy is married to Larry Buhler; Candace is married to Doug Bergen and they have one daughter, Kiana. Kiana is an honour student at the Steinbach Christian High School and her grandparents are very proud of her. John & Mathilda's son Randy went to be with the Lord in 1996 at the age of 21.
John has been involved in the automotive industry in Steinbach since 1973. In December of 1992, Mathilda and John started Trucks Unlimited Inc. and they have been operating it since that time. They built a new facility to house their truck business on the north edge of the City of Steinbach in 2003. They specialize in the medium and heavy truck market which includes new Freightliner trucks and used truck sales, service and parts sales.
John has been involved in numerous organizations including the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada where he served as Manitoba chapter president for several years. He was elected to the Hanover School Division where he served for four years. During that time, he also served as a member of the Steinbach Planning Commission. He served as a deacon on the board of Full Gospel Chapel for several years, most of these as chair. He currently serves as elder at Southland Community Church where he also fills the role of vice-chair.
John wants to give back to the community by using his business experience to make Steinbach the best place to live, work, play, worship, raise a family, and, of course, to operate a business.
