Playground goers will notice some new signs at playgrounds around the city. Parks and Rec Department Head, Russ Dyck explains that fourteen signs listing safety guidelines have been installed in the city’s playgrounds. The signs list rules such as “Slide feet first only” and “Hold on with both hands when swinging" and are there to remind users of the playground equipment to be safe while having fun.
Progress is being made on the tennis courts as well. The former playing surface has been removed and crews are leveling the area to get ready for concrete resurfacing. The goal is to have the courts ready for use by the end of August.
